A day of devotion, family & prasad

March 26, 2026 · Mohali, Punjab
Today, our home in Mohali glowed with marigold garlands, the scent of halwa, and the sound of prayer. Shashi ji and Ramesh ji led us through puja, aarti, and Kanjak — feeding the little girls their prasad with the same love they have poured into our family for over eight decades. This page is dedicated to them — and to Vaishno Mata, who blesses every moment of this home.

Mummy and Papa lunch after fast
Mummy eating with proper appetite — Papa ready with the rotis
After hours of fasting and serving others first — the little girls, the deities, the family — Mummy finally sat down to eat. Kala chana curry, halwa, aloo, fresh rotis from the insulated case, pickle on the side.

At 82 years old, she still fasts. She still serves every child herself, bent at the waist, making sure no plate is empty. That is seva. That is Vaishno Mata's grace.

"She fasted since dawn, served nine little girls their prasad with her own hands, tied threads on their wrists, sang the aarti — and only then sat down to eat. That is what eighty-two years of love looks like."
